I'm redoing this site in Django. Everything below is irrelevant.
About, etc.
diclaimers: jabbascript required :P; i did basically nothing, just imported stuff from other sites i use;
i'm not trying very hard yet, it's just nice to finally have something up under katylavallee.com.
back to the start!
Goal: create a personal website that hosts little to none of it's own content, but pulls it in from every other
site I'm on.
Contact: webdev@katylavallee.com,
or Google me like this,
or like this,
or if you're feeling frisky, like this,
though most of those last ones aren't me.
Updates
- 2/13/09
- Added Delicious.com bookmarks -- it's under "Read Me Seymore" because I ran out of lateral space.
A little over 2 years ago, this was gonna be my business card. Just felt like sharing.
Next order of business, in order (-ish):
- Use Friendfeed to pull in more services:
magnolia, upcoming, amazon wishlist, last.fm and pandora.
- Add a few of my favorite things. This is based on an idea for a webapp, but until
I build it, or someone else builds it, I'll just have to host my little lists here.
- Upload recordings, not that I'm anywhere near figuring out how to make them play in the browser.
These used to be on muxtape, but now that it's dead for personal use, I don't
know where else to put them.
- Clean up this code. I like to call it an HTML collage.
- Actually design something, maybe even have more than one page. Definitely add more orange
to this color scheme :P. And yes, duh, more contrast.
Maybe get everything displayed in rows instead of columns. I wonder how
difficult that would be before completing the next item.
- Write my own scripts to get items from all the services whose default badge code kinda sucks
(though not as bad as this page does right now),
like enjoysthin.gs and google reader.
- Figure out how to make recordings play in browser.
- Find out if I can get more than 10 of anything on any of these services, or at least paginate them.
- Make something happen when enjoysthin.gs items are hovered over, at least so people can tell if it's a
video or a photo.
Display private photos from Flickr???? Who needs private photos anyway?
- Oh yeah, start blogging on Posterous and pull that in too.
